There’s a lot going on at LRBC!
We run a number of activities throughout the week catering for all age groups. These include Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade, Toddler Group, Oasis Fellowship, Ladies Fellowship and many more. We also provide regular one off events for men, women and families. Use the links on the left to explore the various regular activities and find out what’s happening at LRBC in your age-group. Monday 14th May: Boys Brigade – will be meeting: Anchor Boys at 5.45pm, Juniors, Company and Seniors at 6.45pm.
Tuesday 15th May: Girls Brigade – will be meeting: Explorers at 5.45pm, Juniors, Seniors and Brigaders at 6.45pm.
Wednesday 16th May: Toddlers Group - meets today at 1.15 pm.
Thursday 17th May: Student Bible Study - will be meeting at 5.45 pm for a meal followed by Bible Study and prayer. Matt Urwin will be leading the study on John 20.
Thursday 17th May: Thursday Fellowship: We will be meeting at our Cottage Road premises at 7.30pm. Andy Robertson will be speaking on his work with Open Air Mission.
Sunday 20th May: We will be meeting as usual at the West Park Centre for our morning service at 10.30am and our evening service at 6.00pm. The speaker at our morning and evening services will be Pastor Matthew Seymour.
Sunday 20th May: Fellowship & Prayer Lunch: After the morning service we will be meeting at Cottage Road for “bring your own” lunch at 1.30pm followed by prayer.
Sunday 20th May: Christianity Explored. We will continue the 10 week Christianity Explored course at 4.00pm – 5-30pm at the West Park Centre. The course provides a great opportunity to explore the claims of Jesus and ask questions in a relaxed and informal setting. If you or someone you know would be interested in taking part, please speak to Matthew Seymour or contact the church office.
Diary Dates
Tuesday Strolls: New Activity!! First date - Tuesday 22nd May: (morning) to see some hidden delights of Roundhay Park. This will be a short walk (buggy friendly) to find a castle, gorge, waterfall and much more! Anyone welcome. More details from Gill or Sandra.
LRBC Waking Group: Our next walk will be on Monday 4th June – more details to follow.
CHURCH JUBILEE ‘STREET’ PARTY – Bank Holiday Tuesday 5th June - This will be held on Jubilee Day, in and around the Cottage Road site and on the car park up to the front entrance. We hope to have games and activities, as well as a BBQ and other refreshments, to provide an opportunity to invite neighbours from Cottage Road and wider contacts, to introduce them to the gospel and the church in a convivial setting. Please do speak to one of the Evangelism team for more information (Matthew, Rod, Roger, Susan or Helena).
Saturday 9th June: Annual Cricket Match: LRBC 11 will be playing St.Georges 11 at Harewood House commencing at 2.00pm.
Wednesday 20th June: Ladies Pizza Evening at Cottage Road: All ladies are welcome, the evening will begin at 8.00pm.
Saturday 23rd June: Church Ceilidh at the West Park Centre: Our annual Ceilidh will take at the West Park Centre. Invitations and more information later.
Sunday 24th June: Church Picnic: We will be meeting at Kirkstall Abbey after the morning service for our annual picnic. More information later.
Saturday 30th June: Annual trip to Filey: We’re off to the seaside on our annual beach trip ending with fish and chips. If you intend coming speak to Simon or Grace Smith.
Saturday 21st July: Men’s Walk: Details to be confirmed nearer the time.
