Saturday 7th December: LRBC Walk – Family Friendly - In the morning we will be walking the Pateley Bridge panorama walk which is about 3 miles with views over Nidderdale and a (fenced) riverside return. We will then buy a soup and roll in a cafe in Pateley Bridge (or you can take your own picnic if you wish). In the afternoon we will be visiting the Coldcutt Quarry viewing area. This is a sculpture consisting of a pair of very large stone spirals to walk up which are great for kids (with supervision – see www.thecoldstonescut.org). From the top you can see the quarry, along with an information board which details what you are looking at including a lead vein mined 150 years ago. You can book a seat on the minibus or make your own way to/from Pateley Bridge. If you are using your own transport you can come for just the morning or just the afternoon. Please see Stuart for more details or to book a place on the minibus. For those travelling by minibus we will meet at Cottage Road at 9.15am for a prompt departure at 9.30. We will meet those travelling by their own transport in Pateley Bridge at 10.30am.
