There’s a lot going on at LRBC!

We run a number of activities throughout the week catering for all age groups. These include Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade, Toddler Group,  Ladies Fellowship and many more. We also provide regular one off events for men, women and families. Use the links on the left to explore the various regular activities and find out what’s happening at LRBC in your age-group. This Week   (commencing Monday 20th October)

Monday: Boys Brigade will be meeting: Anchor Boys at 5.45pm, Juniors, Company and Seniors at 6.45pm.

Tuesday: Girls Brigade will be meeting: Explorers at 5.45pm, Juniors, Seniors and Brigaders at 6.45pm.

Wednesday: Toddler’s Group will be meeting at 1.15pm.

Wednesday 22nd October: Ladies Chinese Meal  at Cottage Road 8.00pm.  All ladies welcome, please speak to Barbara Brownnutt if you can come.

 Thursday: Student Bible Study starting at 5.45pm at Cottage Road.  We begin with a meal followed by Bible Study and prayer.  Wes will lead the study in John 3:23-3:36.

Thursday/Friday: Growth Groups – We meet at various homes.  Please speak to Matthew Seymour if you would like to join a group.

Friday: Ladies Fellowship – takes place this Friday at Cottage Road. We meet at 12.30pm for a ‘Bring your own lunch’ followed by Bible Study and prayer at 1.15pm. All ladies are welcome and a crèche is provided. For more information please speak to Barbara Brownnutt.

Saturday: Help with Gardening -  We are planning to have a gardening day at Cottage Road to clear up ready for the winter.  If you could help on that day or on a different day please speak to Simon Smith.  There is some digging and general tidying.  Light refreshments will be served.

Next Sunday 26th October

Pastor Matthew Seymour will be speaking at our morning service  (10.30am) at St Margaret’s. Pastor Roger Barden will be speaking at our evening service (6.00pm) at Cottage Road

New to LRBC Event: Are you new to the church here and would like to know more about the church family? We are going to be holding a “New to LRBC” lunch.  Matthew & Naomi Seymour will be hosting the event. Please let them know if you are planning to come. Diary Dates

 

Saturday 8th November – Walk We will be walking in the Dales going through Trollers Gill – an impressive gorge – with a riverside return – about 7 miles. You will need the usual warm/waterproof clothing and a picnic.  Meet at Cottage Road at 9.15am for a prompt departure at 9.30.  We should be back comfortably before 5pm.  Please see Stuart (or email him onstuart@modelyard.co.uk) if you want to reserve a place on the minibus.

Tuesday 11th November: Grey Matters Remembrance Coffee Morning – 10am – 12pm at Cottage Road.

Thursday 13th November: Prayer Meeting – Andy Peace will be updating us on the work of Yorkshire Camps.

Friday 14th November: Toddler Christmas Event: Christmas cupcakes and cake topper demo evening starting at 7.30pm  at Cottage Road.

Friday 14th – Sunday 16th November: YAF Weekend Away – Near Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales. See Stephen Collins for more information.

Sunday 16th November: Prayer Lunch after the morning Service at St Margaret’s.

Wednesday 19th November: Knit & Natter – We meet at Cottage Road at 7.30pm for craft and chat.  All are welcome.

Sunday 23rd November: Real Lives Service starting at 4.00pm at Cottage Road.  More information later.

Wednesday 3rd December: Dig Deeper – Subject: What does the Bible teach about election?

Sunday 7th December: Young Adults Fellowship Meal -  meeting at Cottage Road after the morning service.

Wednesday 10th December: Carols by Candlelight – 8.00pm at Cottage Road.

Sunday 14th December: Carol Service – 5.00pm at St Margaret’s.

Sunday 21st December: All Age Christmas Service – 10.30am at St Margaret’s.

Thursday 25th December: Christmas Day Service 11.00am at St Margaret’s.
