There’s a lot going on at LRBC!
We run a number of activities throughout the week catering for all age groups. These include Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade, Toddler Group, Ladies Fellowship and many more. We also provide regular one off events for men, women and families. Use the links on the left to explore the various regular activities and find out what’s happening at LRBC in your age-group. This Week (commencing 29th September)
Monday: Boys Brigade will be meeting: Anchor Boys at 5.45pm, Juniors, Company and Seniors at 6.45pm.
Tuesday: Girls Brigade will be meeting: Explorers at 5.45pm, Juniors, Seniors and Brigaders at 6.45pm.
Wednesday: Midweek Walk – We will be walking in the Gledhow Valley – about 4 miles. Meet at the junction of Gledhow Valley Road and Allerton Grange Way ready to set off walking at 10am. See Stuart for more details.
Wednesday: Toddler’s Group will be meeting at 1.15pm.
Thursday: Student Bible Study starting at 5.45pm at Cottage Road. We begin with a meal followed by Bible Study and prayer. Roger will lead the study in John 1:1-18.
Thursday Fellowship: We would like to get the thoughts and feedback about the format of TF from those who regularly attend. Consequently the TF meeting will be used to gain feedback on the ministry. We encourage those who would be interested to contribute to join us (or to speak with Roger if you are unable to attend but would like to contribute). We meet at 7.30pm at Cottage Road.
Sunday: Pastor Wes Johnston will be speaking at our morning service (10.30am) at St Margaret’s and at our evening service (6.00pm) at Cottage Road.
We will be celebrating The Lord’s Table after the morning service.
Christianity Explored – This is an 8 week course starting at 4.00 – 5.30pm. Childcare will be available. If you know of anyone who would like to attend speak to one of our Pastoral Team.
Wednesday 8th October: Dig Deeper - Subject: How does God’s law relate to us today?
Saturday 11th October – Saturday walk - Our walk is based on Cowling to the south west of Skipton and includes Earls Crag with good views and a valley with a waterfall. About 7 miles. You will need the usual warm/waterproof clothing and a picnic. We should be back by 5pm. Please see Stuart (or email him at email@example.com) if you want to reserve a place on the minibus
Wednesday 15th October: Knit & Natter – We meet at Cottage Road at 7.30pm for craft and chat. All are welcome.
Thursday 16th October: Church Members Meeting at 7.30pm at Cottage Road.
Sunday 19th October: Real Questions Service at Cottage Road starting at 4.30pm. The next Real questions service will be entitled: Can you have doubts and still be a Christian? Flyers are available now.
Wednesday 22nd October: Ladies Meal at Cottage Road 8.00pm. All ladies welcome, please speak to Barbara Brownnutt or Sue Kirkham if you can come.
