Young Adults Fellowship
“A large church is a bit like a large family, with people of all ages and stages of life”. Among the family you will find plenty of Young Adults…people over 18 and certainly young at heart! In fact, we don’t specify an upper age limit…some people stay ‘young’ for a long time! If you feel at home with us, then you’re very welcome!
For young adults, we run a series of monthly Sunday afternoon get-togethers, on the second Sunday of each month. These start with a good lunch at our Cottage Road premises (after the morning service) and then, for about an hour or so, we look at a relevant topic together.
As Christians, there are many issues worth looking into, and these Sunday sessions are an excellent opportunity to learn from each other and from those who have been a Christian a long time (but are still young at heart!).
We also organise ad-hoc social events and the ever popular Weekend Away in November.
Forthcoming Programme:
Monday 7th May: Bolton Abbey Social. Speak to Stephen Collins for more information.
Saturday 12th May: Northern Men’s Convention. Speak to Roger Barden for more information.
Sunday 13th May: Friendship in the age of social networking. The speakers will be Roger Barden and Jo Clarkson.
Sunday 10th June: Biblical Manhood & Womanhood. The speakers will be Wes & Karen Johnston.
All Sunday meetings take place at Cottage Road after the morning service (1pm until 3pm)
