Growth Groups
Growth Groups are small groups which meet twice a month, usually in someone’s home. We call them Growth Groups because we really believe these groups are a great blessing to the whole church, helping us to grow as Christians.
The way the meeting is run varies from group to group. Mostly, the groups discuss the practical application of what the Bible teaches, often based on the message from a recent Sunday service. Groups with new Christians may study basic Christian beliefs or they may follow a programme like Christianity Explored. Usually, there is time set aside for praying together, and occasionally groups meet purely for social events – just to get to know one another better. Many groups do all of these things at some point.
Growth Groups are for everyone! The discussions and activities are suitable and relevant for everyone in the church. Involvement in a Growth Group is an important part of belonging, growing, praying and reaching out.
