So what actually happens in a church service?

If you haven’t been to church before, or perhaps not for a long time, you might be wondering: “What actually happens?”

First of all, relax. You won’t be asked to do anything!

When you arrive, our welcome stewards will hand you a service sheet — we use these instead of a hymn book. You can then find a seat in the main hall. If you prefer to sit at the back, that’s fine… we won’t ask you to move nearer the front!

A typical service will contain Christian songs, a short talk for children, a prayer and then a message based on the Bible, usually from our Pastor. The service lasts just over an hour.

We take a collection during our services, but this is for our regular attenders who like to support the work of the church — we are not after your money, and you don’t have to contribute!

After the service, we serve coffee in the foyer — a chance to chat and get to know each other.

If you have any more questions about what goes on in our services, please do contact us at the church office, or send an e-mail to: moreinfo@leedsrbc.org.
